Highlights:
This family recently had a baby and their house was feeling smaller. Fortunately they had an unfinished basement ready for completion. Working with the couple we took care in designing spaces to fulfill the needs of the young family. We shaped and wired an open media room. In the play area we built closet and made the space ready for a future bedroom. A space plumbed for a 3rd bath was insulated for use as a wine cellar complete with a climate control system. In the laundry room cabinets and sinks were installed making it perhaps the best laundry room in North Glenmore. The awkward ducting in the ceiling we turned into a feature, extending soffits around each room like crown moulding. This design trick makes rooms feel bigger. The family’s home now feels much bigger. The majority of their child’s toys are stay in the playroom downstairs, movies can be watched downstairs without disturbing sleeping members up, and their wine will last for years.
