Scope of project:
Design and install natural wood kitchen.
Client:
Private Residence in Glenrosa, West Kelowna
Highlights:
This older home had a traditional style kitchen with limited counter space, and a breakfast table (popular at the time). The homeowner wanted to update the kitchen to increase the sales value for listing in the spring. Through our collaborative design process we settled on a complete remodel. Removing a short dividing wall allowed us to redesign the peninsula and open the kitchen to the dinning room. We extended the natural alder cabinets onto 3 walls, and relocated the appliances to improve the flow in the critical triangle (sink, stove, fridge). The finishing touch was installing 2 false beams separating the hall from kitchen and kitchen from dinning room. The homeowner was delighted and has chosen to keep the house for a more few years.
